I have Edelbrock shorties. Personall i dont think you should go with a shortie, they suck ass, power gain is slim to nothing. But if you must go with a shortie, i say go with Edelbrock. JBA is WAY too over priced, IDK about BBK (prolly too much money cus of the name), but Edelbrock has been in the game for a LONG as time and all of their shit is CNC machined, so it all fits as its supposed to and they mass produce it, so its cheaper than all the rest.

Get LT's, you actually get more HP with LT's. Stock manifolds=shorties for power...

I used to have a F-body w/ shorty headers. Not worth much at all IMO.

I would sell you my Edelbrock shorties but I would feel bad selling you something that I dont want and wouldnt put on my own car agian.

looks like you could just get a stall and should be able to get to low the 12s

    +1 for longtubes
    -1 for shorties

If you're worried about emissions, shorties are the way to go; just like everyone said already though, don't expect much. I'd save that $$$ and look into something else, IMHO.
