    Shes a BEAST

    sooo guys ordered my lt pacesetter headers welll i was gonna run open headers for a little bit and see how i like it haha cops will hate me forever..but anyways is there anything wrong with running open headers? do i got to make sure to watch out for anything and just for kicks how will my MPG be??

    Dude, you do realize you live in California, right. They will have your ass if you get caught. Plus, it'll mess with you computer without the backpressure.

    you will love it for about 20 minutes lol I don't think you realize just how loud it will be.
    pacesetter lts with dual 3" strait pipe on my goat got 4 mpg more than the same setup with mufflers

    You may like it for a while but you need to be careful. If you get caught your going to be in deep trouble. ALso, you are going to get less h.p because of the lack of back pressure.

    Yeah you'll get pulled over QUICK!!!! I ran with open headers only to drive to the muffler shop to get the Y-pipe welded on... it was INCREDIBLY LOUD!!!!! and on top of that take-off is TERRIBLE!!

    You can't do it in closed loop. The fresh air getting into the pipes and to the sensors will cause the computer to think you are lean, and drown the car in fuel as a result. Be careful, with 50% correction that is un-needed, that kind of extra fuel can do damage. You might get 5-6 MPG. Of course you could run open loop by unhooking the front o2s, but the car will run like butt going that route as well.

    Just do it right the first time, this is worse than half-assing something...
