Shaner Polished TB's
Was thinking about sending my TB out to Shaner to get the S3 package, any one done business with them, is this gonna really give me any power / throttle response?
thanks

I haven't had any experience with them. However, I can tell you that porting (polishing is optional) your throttle body and having the bump stop ground for WOT will give you a real increase in HP/TQ and throttle response.

I know him personally and have been to his house many times. Watch out for those dogs of his. I think he feeds them people.
Anyway he does top notch work right out of his garage. Good guy. Lives next to the GM plant in Arlington, Texas.

stock throttle bodies have a plate that stops the throttle body from opening past wot, problem with stock throttle bodies is it stops the plate from opening 100% grinding the stop back a little enables true wot.

Not to put Shaner down at all but if it costs you $159.00 to get your stock throttle body ported and polished wouldn't it be better to take that money and put it torward an aftermarket throttle body such as a 92mm Nick Williams or FAST. Both of these TB price for just under $400.00 and if your gunna do other mods your already set with your bigger TB.

you have a valid point, but I will most likely never do nitrous , cam / heads , or FI, so my stocker will be plenty, just gonna get the most outta it!

I have a shaner s3 and would recommend him although I waited a really long ass time for mine so be prepared for that possibility. Some people get them fairly quick, I didn't.
