    Running stock open headers on a 98 z28 ?

if i had to run open headers on my stock headers on my 98 z28 (ls1) would it do any damage ? i would be driving it a total of like 20-25 miles (to the exhaust place) i know there mid length headers but the exhaust is fired downwards. Any info would be great.

From what I've heard (mostly old geezers talkin) so long as you got some kinda manifold/header on there she should be fine.
I've heard horror stories of valves being sucked outta the head without any exhaust.
    Anybody else heard of that?

nah, as long as you have a manifold you will be alright as far as the motor is concerned. but the o2 sensor problem is still there if you are FI
