Smile remove the spark plugs for doing headers?

i just bought headers and im gonna install them at the dealer I work at. im trying to find a quick way to replace them cuz my dealer makes u pay for work to be done on ur own car. its only $40/hr but still. alldata says their gonna charge me for 6 hours of work. im gonna try and find a way to get them to charge less like charge me for replacing the cats (1.3 hours).

so........ do u guys remove the spark plugs or can I sneak them in without removing them?

also... do u need an offroad Y pipe with LT pacesetter headers? or do they meet up with the stock pipes?

if i gotta remove them then im replacing them since i got 82k miles on them.

    thanks for any input.

Yes, you have to remove the spark plugs.

You do not need an off-road y-pipe but you do need a y-pipe that will match up to your LTH's. The stock one will not even come close.

I'd replace them although I've barely managed to sneak the LTs by without in the past. It's not a good idea though, and it looks like you should get a set anyways. It will definately make it easier and won't take much longer, so have at it

i thought I would have to remove them. I just wanted to see if I could save some time because my work doesnt like having employee cars being worked on even if their paying to get the work done.
i'll buy a set of spark plugs and replace them while i'm in there.

    thanks for the quick replys
