relocating coil packs? anygood to do? post pics of them

i just seen some coil packs reloaters any pics of where they go and and benifit from beeing relocated

Don't really think there are advantages to relocating them, unless you need the clearance for some other mod on the valve covers. I don't think it would be worth the time/money unless you just hate the look of them on the valve covers.

Personally...unless you HAVE to relocate them, I think it will lower spark. Making the spark have to travel further is a downgrade.


It is a clean appearing mod though. Seen it a few times in person.

I would think the real only reason to re-locate would be so you have faster access to the valve lash if you installed a solid roller cam that needs to be checked all the time.

Why are you trying to relocate them? If you went with a bigger rocker ratio you should just get some valve cover spacers. You can go with 1/2 inch spacers I have a 1.8 roller rocker ratio on my ls1 and I was going to re-locate mine to but I did 'nt. I had to get the ls1 truck MSD spark plug wires because with the valve cover spacers, the stock length was to short

I plan on doing the relocation mod. From the pic's I've seen it looks really smooth.
