    Rasp?

Could someone please post a link or clip of a "raspy" sounding car? I dont think i can imagine what it sounds like, seeing i have stock exhaust. Thanks

Not sure how to explain it, but you can hear it when the owner revs the engine and lets off. Sometimes its not bad...other times its HORRIBLE.

If you were to compare that to a car with NO rasp you can easily tell the difference.

As for that car, I didnt spend much time looking for a car with rasp. Its actually not too bad. I'll try to find a better example.

My 02 WS6 had it. I had MAC headers & the off-road y-pipe w/ a Flowmaster muffler. Sounded like shit around 3,000 or so RPM. I put a Bullet muffler in the section behind where the cats were & sounded soooo much better!!

but what does rasp sound like? is it when the exhaust doesnt sound deep and throaty, but rather weak and windy? in that case yeah i get what is meant.

    Good example.

If you want to hear a car with little to no rasp, go to the true dual section on ls1sounds.com.

But who am I kidding. Exhaust is too subjective. Especially hearing it on video. It needs to be heard in person IMO.
