    Radiator hose thing question

    I have a '98 TA with this inline with the radiator hose:

    Question is can I replace those hose with a later model hose (like 2002) to eliminate this thing?

    that "thing" is your power steering line cooler. I wouldnt replace it. they only came on ws6's. But if you do you will need to change your power steering lines. and if you do that let me know cuz i will buy your stock lines from you.

    I assume you're talking Pontiacs only. They didn't come on Firehawks? I know my SS has one.

    My 'Hawk has one on it. PITA to find replacement upper radiator hoses- buy stock hose and cut it down.
