A quick question on exhaust

I read alot of stuff about exhaust on here, and what everyone prefers or use's, and i was just kinda curiouse why dosen't any really like the flowmaster 80 series on the F-bodys. is it the sound, or performance issues??

Most people like the Flowmaster sound but they do not seem to perform as well as other systems. The 80 series muffler used on the F-body dual outlet systems is the real problem. I have a Flowmaster system on mine but it uses a 40 series 2 chamber single in single out muffler. This is more efficient than a dual out muffler because it eliminates the turbulence caused by turning the exhaust gasses 180* around inside the muffer.

i have one on my moms lt1 and almost zero gain in horsepower but sounds good.

40 or 50 series for me.
mufflers never gain much if any HP anyways.

yea, i have a flowmaster 80 series at the end of my LT and ORY. i like the sound, i dont see many people down here with that set up, they either have loudmouths or cut outs.
