If you dont connect them you will throw codes unless you are able to get them deleted from your computer.

It's up to you and your smog laws for your state...if I could i'd shitcan my egr and air in a heartbeat. Just get blockoff plates, gut it and call it a day IMO. And like murray said....you'll throw codes until you get them tuned out.

cool that was the plan. so i can just block off the 2 on the passenger side and the 1 on the driver's side, correct. i got my headers on today and i will finishing it up tomorrow morning. BTW, a computer tune is happening as soon as the car is drivable. Thanks a lot guys.

Correct...I wouldn't just disconnect everything though, you should actually remove the egr and air along with all components. You might want to look into a ls6 manifold if you haven't already swapped your ls1 manifold out....otherwise you'll need to plug that hole from the egr in it.

Don't expect that much of a performance difference if you decide to disable them from the PCM. In fact, don't expect any kind of a performance difference.... other than the one that's all in you're head, afterwards.

no, i am not expecting performance by taking those off.
i put in new plugs and put on the headers today...tomorrow is the x pipe and mufflers...then get it tuned...then finally, ENJOY IT
