    QTP manual cutout seals

    The gasket for the caps.
I have one that is leaking (looks a bit burnt).

Looks like Checker Auto parts had a couple 3" Mr. Gasket ones for $10 or so.
Or should I call QTP and get theirs?

Also, has anyone put a permanent type bolt in these cutouts? Kinda like a wheel stud or the center section bolts on the 9"

how much are the qtp ones and what are they made out of?
depends on how often you are removing the caps and what the gaskets are made of.. if you are removing the caps a lot and the gaskets are flimsy and cheap you may have to keep buying new gaskets over and over,...maybe be cheaper in the long run to get the more expensive ones if you can reuse them.

The ones QTP sent are re-useable for sure.
Just one of them leaks a bit now.

Thinking I will try to get in touch with QTP.

I made a new gasket out of aluminum foil for my old cut out. Worked great too.

my cutout which is probably the same just uses a regular 3" header gasket. You have yours up off the headers if I remember correctly so yours gets much hotter than mine. I would find something other than paper gaskets if you can due to how much you remove them and the environment up there. The other side of the coin is a paper one would probably last a while so I would look at how much they cost vs a metal one.

The other option is to just carry around a tube of silicone gasket maker.

JoshieDoom offered a few of his.

I contacted my exhaust shop and he gave me a pair for nothing....so for now, leak free.

    Thanks though!!
