Power Boost - Exhaust for stock SS

Hey all,
I just sold my modded 2001 Corvette Coupe for an 02 Camaro SS Vert and I have to say that I absolutely love it - only problems are that it needs some extra power and the stock sound is a bit weak. I have around $1500 to spend on mods and I have decided on playing with the exhaust - either LT headers only, LT headers/catback, catback only, etc...Whatever can get me the best power bang for the buck while improving the sound as a side effect...This is going to be my car for a long time so I don't want to half-ass anything that will cause me problems down the road...and also I can do zero labor myself because I'm a student that lacks the necessary facilities. Just a reference point - my previous vette had Borla Stingers coupled with LT headers and I loved the sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Wow, you kinda went the other way on this one. Most people sell their SS for a vette, not the other way around. But anyways. You could always get LT's and true-duals. Only problem is, labor will kill you on the headers. I've heard people get quoted anywhere from $300-800 just for a header install. I was quoted for $500, so I did it myself.
