    ported stock throttle body

hey all, just got a ported stock throttle body on ebay from photoz6. very nice job on it very good port work. only slight issue is the idle. when i first start it up it seems normal but if i go for a drive and then come to a stop and put the car in neutral or park, the revs seem to come higher than they would before and if i give it a few seconds to settle down it will come down to maybe 700rpm then rise to 800 then back to 700 and keep doing that. what could i do to make this go away?

Start by checking and adjusting the Idle stop screw so that the TPS voltage is .4 to .6 volts.

This +1000! Sometimes when people do porting and polishing, they mess with the bump stop which needs to be done correctly. You are suppose to check the voltage while you grind down the bump.

^^^correct. blackSS01 was confusing the WOT bump stop with the idle bump stop.

thanks for the help guys. hooked the car up to a scanner and it read .61v at idle. took that down to around .51v and its perfect now. no more weird idle or surging. thanks again

Hey Siciliano, how is that throttle body from photoz6 working out for you? I've been looking to get one myself.
