Port & Polish stock TB vs 80mm aftermarket TB

so, i understand that the stock TB is a 75mb opening, and the LS6 can(?) take up to an 80mm TB:

would it be a waste of money to simply buy a BBK or Accufab 80mm TB vs getting the stock TB ported and polish (and the chance that whoever does it screws up the job)?

i would personally go with getting another TB and having the stock as a backup in case something goes wrong, or getting another stock sized TB and porting it to 78mm/80mm...

any thoughts, input, would be greatly appreciated. I just can't decide, lol

keep and port the stocker, good hp increase i thought. it would be a waste of money to buy an aftermarket one unless you get a good set of heads and a cam, if you do that get the fast 90/90 combo
