Poll: Did you have issues after TB Porting?
I've heard of people having idling issues and such after porting a throttle body. I figure it's good for 5-10rwhp and some tq so I'd like to do it since it's so inexpensive.
Tell me where you got your ported and for how much....and if you had any issues.

i havent gotten mine back yet its been about 3 weeks so fast delivery isnt happening with the guy. I havent tried it out yet but if it has any issues he is not on my good side so hopefully, hopefully things will go well when i put it on. All ive heard about them is you get better throttle response but hopefully you can pick up a few ponies.

No problems. Local f-body guy off tech did mine. Bump stop and half shaft mod. Cant touch that area around the blade. Its a no-no
With his heads/cam m6 car he made almost 8hp gain over stock.

I got mine off e-bay. I paid $60. It's T/P and also poweredcoated on the outside. I sent mine back to him for a $40 deposit. No down time and only cost me $20 couldn't beat it. I was lucky I was the only to bid on it.

I had a slight problem with my idle hanging at ~1300 RPM with the clutch in and coasting. It would drop down to normal while stopped, but hang while moving. I adjusted the throttle set screw to close the blade slightly, and did an idle re-learn. Now its fine.

Free, did mine myself. No problems. I did some other work at the same time, so hard to tell if there was any performance gain. But just smoothing it out has got to be a good thing.

My car had a BBK Throttle Body on it when I bought it. I took it off and replaced it with a stock ported and polished one. No issues at all, it actually idles better. Here is what I bought.

im having mine ported by a seller on ebay, ill let you know how mine goes so far i would not recommend him at all due to how long its taken him to send it back and not sticking to his word. Hopefully after all this the car idles properly and he did a good job, after i put it on ill post who it is and give good or negative feedback on the porting. I wish i went with some of the recommendations up top, shouldve done more research.

Ported my own on both cars. Cost nothing but a little time. Did the bump stop mod on both as well.
No issues what so ever.
