A lid is a lid is a lid, other than looks they all function the same.

SLP lid fits good, but the MTI clear lid looks amazing with a decal or two and I bet it would fit fine, if I could do it all over I would go with the clear lid just based off of the looks of it...But overall a lid is a lid dont worrie about it just get one lol

+1 on the volant... If you want to keep the hood functional i'd get the volant...the dual intakes sit behind the hood openings.

I had Volant on my TA. Definately not worth the money. Now I have a clear MTI on my Formy and like it better. Fits perfect.

NAVY BLUE METALLIC- 02' WS6 TRANS AM
So far now i've gotten from you guys Volant, MTI, and SLP! Don't know why i'm planning to lean towards and SLP, it just seems more people have them and haven't really complained too much! But then I think of how sick that Volant setup looks! Can't freaking make up my mind!!!
Do any of you know which one would work better with my "Ram Air" hood?

i currently am running a ws6 with a k&n filter....if i purchase the slp lid will that still be a good hp gain even though i already have the ws6 intake? and if so how is the slp lid better???
i forgot where i read that if i had a ram air hood i didn't need to buy the entire SLP sir induction kit just the lid! is that right?

All Black- 83, 87, 02 All WS6 T/As
I don't like spending money for the name... SLP is one that you do.. prob good stuff.. but as stated many times before a lid is a lid... i have an LG lid.. bought it used from a local car group member.. works just fine...

i just put a slp lid on my 02 ws6 which has a k&n filter, seems to fit perfectly, so easy to put on- not sure on hp gain.

Current best: 10.60/126.8- 1998 Pontiac TA WS6
It comes down to which one looks best as they all function about the same. I like the looks of the SLP lid.

Medium Blue Metallic- 1999 Pontiac Trans Am
I have the MTI clear lid and the fit is perfect, looks very classy show style over a K&N filter. However my friend ordered a couple things from them and never received them despite many phone calls, so I cant really recommend them. Also do yourself a favor and don't spend any money on bellows (slp and mti charge like $60 for theirs, not worth it).
