Please read those with Cutouts.
I bought a QTP Cutout and took it to the muffler shop to installed and he said he couldn't welded because it is a stainless steel. He said the cutout has to be MIG or TIG welded. Is this true? The regular weld that the muffler shop uses won't work? Or should I just go to another muffler shop?

Most muffler shops have mig welders. I guess this guy only has a gas torch? Go to another muffler shop and it should not be a problem.

another option for him to do is to weld a piece of regular exhaust tubing along with a flange allowing your cutouts to be bolted up.

Ok guys I just installed my cutout. I thought it was going to be louder. But is not that much louder than my flowmaster. It sounds good though. A little deeper and SLIGHTLY louder. It definately felt like I gain some horsepower.

Black- 2000 WS6 6spd Hooker LT
Damn I wish I bought my ORY with the dual electric cutouts last November when I got my Hookers! I fired it up in the shop open headers and was like GODDAM that sounds good. If it only had a lumpy idle....
