pass emissions
Does anyone on here have Lts, an aftermarket y (either catted or not) and a computer tune that will pass the plug-in test? I would like to know as I am considering headers and would like to know if the rear O2 delete and/or AIR delete will show when the tester plugs into the computer. Anyone?

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
You need to have a tuner (or someone with the correct software) turn off the rear O2's for the SES light to go out.
I have LT's, no cats, no AIR and duals dumped at the axle. I pass the plug in test as I've had it all tuned out.
I take it you don't have to pass a visual?
You also will need to pass the gas cap vacuum test.

I don't have to pass any emissions here right now. Just looking to the future. Is the gas cap test just to check for a vapor leak?

The visual test would be to check for the cats i'm assuming. Do they check for the air system? Would this system make sense? LTs, catted y, deleted rear O2s and deleted AIR system.
Maybe have the high-flow cats as i've always driven old vehicles and I like not smelling gas at a traffic light with the Camaro. Should the AIR system be left intact with a aftermarket catted y?

I have a 98 Tran Am w/ Ly's and a ORY and the rear O2's tuned out along with the egr tuned out when I swapped in the LS6 intake. I pass the emmisions I just got to a small place where my buddy knows the guy so there's no visual inspection. Long as the computer is ok I get my sticker.

Thats what I wanted to know. If it works in other states it will work if they start it here. Thanks for the help.
I think I will get the catted y just to reduce the smell as I have an old truck without cats and it stinks when idling.
Any opinions on LPP headers and catted y pipe?
