Pacestter LT, Texas Speed ORY and Magnaflow cat ba
Guys,
I am installing Pacesetter LT headers, Texas Speed ORY, and I already had a Magnaflow cat back exhaust.
I have the headers in (did the motor mounts too). I am now at the ORY part of the install. I could not get things to connect with my catback installed, So I took the clamps off and everything is apart now. It seems to me that things are too long when I have it together. The mount where the over the axle pipe is too far from the holder.
So my question (s).
Is there any cutting you have had to do to make this type of setup work?
I don't want to cut anything if I don't have to. Everything is new, so it still comes apart nice.
Thanks
Don

I had to cut about 4 inches from my catback to fit when I did headers and Y pipe.

First,
Sorry to those that read a lot of threads here. I know I posted this a few places, but I wanted to catch up the threads I posted in so if someone comes across this thread, The answer is there..
Guys,
I called Texas Speed and they said with my setup everything should bolt up with no cutting. So I went back under there tonight and took the advice from another post and band clamped a couple of the Y-piipe fittings together so it was nice and tight. Next I attached the I-pipe and the over the axel pipe went in with a little help from a rubber mallet..Now it is time to put the rest on and see what I need to adjust.
I appreciate all the posts and help..
My setup - Pacesetter LT, Texas Speed ORY, Magnaflow 16723 Catback. I will post pics when it is done...
Man yesterday I could not get it to fit worth a darn and today it come together...
Thanks
Don

Well I took a few steps back.
I cannot get the catback to fit right if I use the band clamps on the collector to y-pipe connection. If I don't use the band clamps then the y-pipe slides up further on the collector and the catback looks like it might fit better. I took the y-pipe, i-pipe and catback off last night. I was getting frustrated and wanted to take some measurements.
Over on tech another user is doing the same thing as I am and he finished his last night not using the band clamps...
Hopefully tonight I will decide what I want to do..
Thanks
Don

Donman, I just change over to Magnaflow Muffler for mine. 1) the old Flowmaster, all the baffels broke after I put the headers on. It was old and rusted from the yrs so no real surprise I had to get a new one. 2) The Magnaflow gave it a whole new sound. Deep, like an ol' school rumble. Me likie likie. Also, at first it seemed like it wasn't that much aof a difference, but the more I drive the more it seems to have a better sound. I was told by the muffler guy to give it a weeks worht of driving for it too go thru some heat cycles and they will sound great.

You run two cat backs at once, or do you just post random three to four word comments in many threads to justify posting advertisements to an online parts store links in topical threads such as this?
