Pacesetter Headers and Y pipe
I installed Pacesetter Headers and off road Y pipe this weekend. Took about 8 hours. I jacked the car up about 21 inches on jack stands. I also had the rear on jack stands. That seemed to be enough height. Here are some tips I learned;
-Take the coil packs off and save your knuckles.
-If you change you plugs at the same time be extra careful when raising the driver's side header in place. I broke one.
-Use band clamps instead of U-bolt clamps. They seal great plus the pipe just pulls apart if you need to remove them in the future.
-When you fit the passenger's side coil packs back on, hook up the pug wires first. An average hand can't reach the rear coil after it's all scratched up.
-Dielectric grease on both ends of the plug wires work great for sliding on the plugs and taking them off in the future.
-Finally have a helper that can put up with frustration and foul language.
-A 10mm ratcheting box end wrench came in handy for header bolts.
I used new factory exhaust gaskets and they sealed well. The fit and finish of the Pacesetter Headers and Y pipe was super. I didn't have to do any jerry rigging, everything slid together well. A bump stop exhaust bracket is a must. It's a tight fit with a 3 inch Y pipe.

those were gains from just the headers and y pipe? I will be doing it on a lift so it should be easier, but what is a bump stop?

+1 on the rachet box end 10mm wrench!!!!!!
when i put on my pacesetter race LT and ORY i also put on a lid and got a dyno tune. my track times went from 13.7@104 to 13.13@108. i notice a difference in performance and definitely in how loud this mofo is. im going through a loudmouth cat back

I have the normal bolt on's and tweaked the computer with a HP Tuners and a wideband O2 sensor.
The bump stop is an exhaust hanger that keeps the Y-pipe from hitting the floor boards under WOT.
