    Overheating??

My car is running a little hot. I took a look and a hose from my radiator that goes to my intake is bypassed. Anybody know why? It looks like the previous owner did it, im also finding signs of nitrous use.

    Thanks,

The throttle body bypass is a very common mod for you LS1 guys.. Coolant is sent to the TB to prevent winter time sticking.. Bypassing the coolant that would normally go to the TB will have no ill effects on performance.. If you're finding signs of nitrous use there could be an under lying problem that the previous owner got rid of it for.. I'd start by checking coolant levels, and for a possible sticky thermostat, or maybe a possible air pocket.. Worse case,,, the beginings of a leaking head gasket.. Which would'nt surprise me @ all if the motor was being fed nitous in stock form.. People do it all the time without trouble however a factory engine was never intended for nitous use..
