Oil Catch Can?
Where's the best place I can get an oil catch can for my '00 SS? The Mobil 1 is getting expensive, no to mention what it's doing to my engine.

A catch can won't slow down the amount of oil you use. It just reduces the amount of oil that gets into the intake thru the pcv. How much oil are you loosing?

I'm loosing about a quart between each 5,000 mile oil change. It doesn't leak anywhere. I know it's going through the pcv valve and back into the intake, that's what I'm trying to prevent. It's only got 60,000 miles so I would think that's the only place it's loosing any.

I agree. I wasn't about to do all of that work and cutting, and spend all of that money, after reading about everyone elses success by just installing an oil catch can. Thanks bro.

Ya i guess your right... its easy for me right now since my intake and heads are off right now.. so the only big issue for me would be cutting... well not the actual cutting cause I have a dremel but thinking of cutting the engine... well its not an everyday thing that I do... ...

I have been looking at doing this for some time. I lose the better part of a quart some times between oil changes! Now that there is a descent priced catch can, I am definately going to have to do it soon.
