OBX Headers and Eibach Sportlines
OBX Headers, SPL Loudmouth and Eibach Sportlines with Bilsteen HD shocks is the combo, is anyone running this combo. Im looking for clearance issues. And has anyone tryed to flaten the pipes, is this possible. That may be a dumb ass question. I read the usual problems, potholes, driveways, speed bumps ect. I know its all part of having a low ride, but do the OBXs tuck under well and if not is it possible to bend them a little. If they touch the floor board is there a common material to put between the exhaust and floor to stop or minimize vibration?

83 Z28 new project- 98 Formula WS7-sold:(
I have the same headers and they tuck up very well. The y pipe on the other hand I got sick of it being loose, leaking from the band clamps, and hanging low, so I had a custom pipe made up and that works very well for me also. Lowering my car would not be much of a problem I dont think.

I'd skip the OBX headers.

I read that guy's post that said that. I have now seen 3 sets in person and they absolutely were NOT 1 and 1/2 like the ones he had a pic of, all of them are 1 and 3/4. I don't know how to tell before they are ordered, as the rest of his setup looks identical to the setups that I have seen, so that is something to consider.
One of the sets was on Tiffany's (GNICTRY) car. That was actually the first set that I saw, and they made numbers on par with everyone else's LTs like Hooker, pacesetter, etc. Very nice for the coin spent.

My OBX were as listed. Fit perfect and clearance is great. I even got the old kit that was missing all the parts needed for the install.

Okay then cool. The drain plug issue was another. Was a problem with FLPs, these are the FLP design.

mine had some fitments issues with the steering but that was easily fixed. My collectors sit higher then my oil pan does the whole exhaust is really tight against the floor when I first installed them they made lots of noise. And I had to put some heater hose in between the exhaust and the floor but it went away I was able to get all of it fixed.

i just put on my obx headers about a month ago....it went 10X easier then i thought it would...the only thing i had to do was take the oil filter off to get the drivers side up and in...no drain plug issues or anything like that...but it does make me wonder how someone can have problems and the next guy wont (the 1 1/2 primaries, drain plug, ect.)
