hi everyone, im new to the forum and wanted to say hey, i am currently working in afghan and the int scks, so anytime to try to search for things the internet cuts out or the pages dont fully load for me so im just gona ask my question and hope people dont yell at me to much for it. i am going to be putting a 2000 LS1 into a 73 cutlass, got the car and engine for good price so why not. ok qustion is, as far as best for performance what are the best things to put on first? i plan to eventually run a turbo ot supercharger system so i would be looking for stuff that will handle the power of that later on.

You must be thinking of some other LS site! We're a friendly bunch here and love questions from members. I would get the engine in and running with a set of swap specific headers. If you want more... a cam will easily put you up over 400 h.p.

    Welcome to the site!

Just noticed the PA location. Whereabouts? I am in Mansfield, about 40 miles north of Williamsport.

If you ever make it up to Beaver Springs Dragway, let me know. We have a place not too far from the track and there are several of us from the site that attend Test & Tunes and other events. Stay safe and let us know when you make it back stateside. We also have an event in August called "Spazapalooza" that is held in Green Lane. It is a great gathering of site members and all are welcome.

Suspension stuff -- I really recommend UMI Performance. The company is based in PA and I have almost their entire catalogue bolted to my car. You can see a pic of the underbody on my Profile page. Things have changed a bit since then, but it's close enough that you'll get the idea.

Other stuff, I surf KY Speed and have purchased many items for our car from them.

Dress up is Afterthoughts Auto or Emblem Pros. Factory stuff I have ordered from GM Parts Direct - most recent was a new set of wheel well liners.

All of these are site sponsors and there are links to them available on most pages.

Welcome Kyle, We love new members here. Your project sounds interesting, get the drivetrain together and running then look for the power. I do not think you need a turbo or blower. A good set of heads, ported, a good cam and a 102mm intake and TB and you should be close to 500 hp. More then enough of a 73 Cutlass.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k
