    new valve springs?

    i was wondering if anybody knew what size vavle springs i need to replace my old ones and what brand you recommend? i have an 02 trans am with no internal mods.

    If you plan on keeping the internals stock...

    Go with stock valvesprings.
    Why do you think you need to replace them? One break?

    it sounds like the #7 cylinder is knocking a valve spring. my brother in law who owned it before me recommended going with a stiffer spring saying the stock wasn't stiff enough. i plan on upgrading parts to fix it up too. we did a compression test and the cylinder matched all the other cylinders so i was thinking of going with the springs.

    Although I would make sure that is the problem.

    Could just be a bent pushrod.

    cool i'll check it out then thanks. can you lead me in the right direction to a set of pushrods or springs depending on which i have to go with.
