New Throttle Body causes rough idle
I installed a new BBK T/B since then my idle has been a little high so when I come to a stop i have to give it a quick rev and it drops back to normal.
Any way to fix this?

This is a common problem with BBK and ive seen several threads on mustangs that have the same issue with BBK TB's not saying they are all bad but iver heard this issue alot. Call them and ask them what you can do, im sure people here can give you there experience with them if they had the same issue.

The bbk on my LT1 works fine, same exact idle. you said you have to kick it to get it to come off the high idle, is it closeing all the way? Other thing it could be is the TPS sensor.

It happened the very minute I put on the new T/B, could it be a coincidence that the sensor went out the same time?

Ive talked to a couple of people on here with BBK TBs that had idle/sticking issues and the only experience Ive had with them is a bad one in person. Installed a couple on mustangs in the shop and they ALWAYS had sticking issues and idle issues.

Well It could be that the sensor took a crap but what Doom is saying makes sense too because the BBK's have a special coating on the TB blades and I have read that if you try to clean them with carb cleaner or TB cleaner it will mess them up and it wont idle worth a crap. It could be that there was a problem with the coating and it would cause a high idle. Maybe even the sticking too

the sensor can be checked with an volt meter. On my 97 I tested mine. It should read . something at 0% throtle and 5 volts at WOT. It can be off by .3 I belive but the test is explained in the chiltons manual.

turn idle screw down a little. your IAC should be between 45-60 at warm idle. if your idle screw is open to much it will cause high idle untill you come to a stop.
