    New SLP Exhaust

I was just browsin the SLP site, and found this:
    http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...83&BIG=31083-1

Its called 'PowerFlo'. its got 3 mufflers, the LM2 in the i-pipe, then 2 'powerflo' mufflers, one at each tip. From what else i saw on their site, the powerflo was for mustangs? i dont know, im not a huge fan of the way it sounds (clip on page). thoughts?

The only good products from SLP are line lock and lids i would recomend to stay away from everything else including exhaust systems and especially headers.

You would think that three mufflers would've cut the rasp down a bit. That sounded worse than the vid I have of mine with LM1

I had lm2 and longtubes/ory up until about a week ago. I didn't think it was terrible but i didn't really care for all the rasp. Also got an exhaust ticket while just driving normally downtown. I think that was more because of my age though.

I have a stroker. I have true duals. My car (aside from the cam idle) sounds like a cat-back LS1.
I LOVE that. I get fucked with all the time. Car sounds like it makes 330RWHP but makes 520RWHP.

I prefer tame with a mean growl over loud and raspy.
My old 'loud' set-up...cammed 346 with LM1 and longtubes.

I thought it sound pretty good myself. Kinda sounds like a nascar.. haha.. the raspness wasnt bad at all. not like a mustang anyways. I've heard LM2 but this new setup is nowhere near the raspyness of the LM2 setup.. Just my two lincolns...

What's wrong with their exhausts? The low restriction one I have flows damn good and with the LM2 Setup will sound just as good.

Besides their long-tube headers (which I owned previously on a '93 Z28) I don't see anything wrong whatsoever with SLP products. Infact, there headers were actually very good quality in my opinion, the only issue was clearance.
SLP is not the only manufacturer that inflates horsepower gains. Almost every other manufacturer does the same thing.

One year of being on my garage queen and their headers were rusted.

Clearance was more than a small issue. I was stock ride height at the time, and hit them more often than I hit my Kooks while dropped on ProKit springs. And I barely hit those Kooks. Actually...don't think I have ever actually hit the header, just the pipe off the collector.

See, I had my SLP LT's coated by Jet-Hot. No issue of rust whatsoever.

I agree with you completely on the terrible ground clearance. There was a speed bump right around the block from my house in which they would scrape almost everytime. That's what prompted me to get rid of them. Other than that, I picked up 22rwhp with them on a CC306-cammed/bolt-on LT1 and I thought the quality was nice.
