    New Cats

I'm buyin new long tube headers and a new y pipe and i'm needin my va emissions done. my question is how much space is there going to be for cats? i'm takin em off right after but i at least need em on just to pass it real quick. found some universal cats that are 16 inches long for cheap and 10 inches for about 50 more. is the extra 50 woth it for the space? thanks for any help guys

You're not going to be able to do it unless you have a y pipe made for cats or you cut the y and then patch it later. Good cats don't rob a lot of power and often improve the sound - may be worth considering.

or you could get a set of big old cat shells, cut them in half and weld them around the outside of your Y-pipe to look like you have cats

yup, i ran a set of 3" bullet mufflers off the LTs then into a set of 3" super 44's and dual 3" strait out the back under the IRS.....its amazing how much drone the bullets cut out.
I was shocked at how much louder the car was after porting and polishing the hell out of the heads too
