new balancer install

i am putting a new balancer on my LS1 buildup but dont now how far its got to be on? and is there an easy way to put the damn thing on..ive got thisbig block of wood and a hammer working right now but its a pain in the ass..any help!!!

CMON somebody gotta know something!! all these engine builds and nobody has figured out a trick way to do this yet?? or a speedy /mor eeficient way?

if nothing else can you tell me how far back the balancer has to go? or how much space is left behind the balancer so i know how far back ihave to go? SOMEBODY???
