    need header install instruction

Anyone have a step by step install guide for long tube headers on a 2002 camaro? It's my first time installing on this car and I want to be careful not to screw up.

    Simple...

Jack up car and SECURLY put it on stands...
    Disconnect the exhaust...
Remove plugs and wires... then the manifold bolts....
    remove manifolds...
    install headers..
    Install new plugs and wires...
    bolt the exhaust back up.
Fire it up.. and get it tuned.

Is the tuning required? I'm getting mixed answers, so people say "only if you are getting engine codes" and other say "get it tuned anyway" I know it will make more power with a good tune but is it necessary?

Well.. if you are putting cats back on.. you won't throw codes.. if you put o2 sims on .. you wont throw codes.. if headers are the only thing you are doing.. then a tune is not NECESSARY.. but it will stiffen up your sshift points, clean up your A/F mix.. and free up a few more hp...
