    Is my car tuned incorrectly?

I just had Pacesetter Lt.s and TSP true duals installed and the guy used Hp tuner to turn of my rear o2 sensors off so the SES wont come on, He said he would use it to make sure my car wouldnt run a little lean also said I would get possibly 10 more Horse, but after all said is done my car doesnt really seem much stronger. Should I of noticed a big difference or is headers and exhaust not make that big of a difference? Appreciate your help guys.

i think you need to have the pcm relearn..or maybe not..i'd think either you need to let the pcm relearn, or he screwed your shit up.

You could reset your PCM and try and allow your computer to re-learn everything or you could send it off for a mail-order tune from PCMforless or something like that.

To reset your PCM, disconnect the battery for 20 minutes and then reconnect it, start it up and let it idle for a few minutes. Then take it for a drive.

was a dyno result sheet printed out for you? what were your numbers? what are your numbers now? did you have a differen set of headers on prior to these?

headers and exhaust, and duals you would notice an increase

nope no dyno, he just used hp tuner in the shop, he said he could take it to a dyno and dyno tune it but it would be extra day and 400 bucks. he claimed the tune he did in the garage would be sufficient and he did say its not as good as dyno tuning but i guess i was expecting more. Car had stock headers on it before this install. What is this pcmrelearn stuff? Please explain, if i disconnect my battery it will have to relearn everything? would that make it throw codes due to no rear o2 sensors? let me know, I am definitely taking it in for dyno tuning though......thanks guys.

If he tuned your car even with a canned tune then your fuel trims were already reset...drive the car more then usual for a few days and see if you notice a power increase. Everytime I force a fuel trim relearn there is a noticeable power loss until I do a few complete driving cycles.

Check out this thread...sarge explains it all http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...=driving+cycle
