Mufflex/Spintech vs. SLP LM?
I have a question for some of you that have heard both of these systems. I currently have Mac mids, off road y, and the SLP LM with a Dynomax bullet welded in. I don't drive this car much but when I do the interior sound is deafing and the exterior sound, unless at idle or slightly above, is very raspy/nasty sounding. I know with no cats the rasp will not leave but will the addition of a real muffler, like the Spintech, make a big difference? The 4" catback is the system I'm looking at now, but at $550, it seems high. I need to call and see if it's stainless steel. I also like the idea of the single hideaway tip.....
Any help?

In my opinion it's hard to beat the sound of a spintech/muflex system. I've heard it on cammed and noncammed cars and personally think it sounds much better than anything SLP produces.
Just looked up their catback systems on their website and they have them for $399. I let you google there site cause I'm not sure if they are a sponsor or not.

thanks
LOL @ that avatar. I find cats also blink when hit with a 270 short mag.
The mods can get rid of this link if it's wrong to post but here is the 4" system, part # 98402CS.http://www.mufflex-performance.com/fbody_6.html

thanks
At the time, 7 years ago, the LM seemed to be the best quality and fit for the price. I went through a pos blowmaster catback, sold it, tried the Hooker system, sold it. Now I have the LM and want another, LOL.
I have a Magnaflow on the 4.3L S10, sounds great to be a 6 and the muffler is very well built. Fixing to go with long tubes, 2.5" y, and a single 3" system on it, with a Maganflow of course.

I LOVED my LM1 when the car was mostly stock.
I hated it once I added longtube headers and a cam.

Mufflex into spintech here. No complaints.
I love it.
LQ4 5.3 threw Kooks 1 7/8 LT into 4 inch back, over axle, to Spin Tech. Tucks up nicely. Fucker screams at WOT. Interested in what it sounds like with a cam. Gotta be loud as hell.Last edited by Hi-Po; 10-27-2008 at 07:06 PM.
