    muffler delete, bad decision

I did a muffler delete with a turn down before the rear end. It sounds horrible. If anyone has plans on doing this think twice. It did however free up some power but the sound is not worth it. I'm putting my 40 series back on

for me it was an upgrade because I had stock exhaust from front to back. but let me say this, putting your flowmaster back on is like going backwards. get a better cat back since your going to put one back on anyways

mufflers really dont do that much. the gain with catbacks comes from the pipe diameter

our not going to see gains from just simply adding a muffler but from what I've heard, you actualy lose with flowmaster muffs

I have all new pipe from front to back. I don't have headers though. The flowmaster I have is a 40 series. My friend owns the shop and he said there is not much difference except sound between other mufflers and mine. He did say that some flowmasters do suck. I like the performance I gained but I can't live with the sound. He also said that I should just do a cutout that way I can run open when I want

Your thinking about flowmaster's 80's series for our cars

My friend who owns the shop said that the muffler is better than the 80 series. This muffler doesn't have as many baffels as the 80 series does.

I heard the 40's or the 44's on a mopar 383 and I got wood. The 10 series sounds badass as well.

HAHAHA! I just did the same thing to my car a few weeks back(cut off my borla catback and dumped the Y at the axle), I was planning on posting a video informing others of my terrible decision I originally did it so I could get the "clean" look in the back. Don't get me wrong I love the fact that i don't have tips sticking out the back anymore and I don't mind the sound either since it got deeper but I just realized how much I screwed myself over in the future for when I get headers lol. I'll probably just throw on a bassani muffler when I get headers and call it a day. On the bright side though, much like you, I did notice a bit more get up and go after hacking off that extra weight and opening her up a bit.

PS OP: have you gotten a chance to get those gears installed yet?
