Magnaflow Catback
Will a magnaflow catback on a completely stock car be too quite and similar to the stock sound? I have looked on ls1sounds and youtube but can't exactly tell how loud it will really be.

I have just what you need: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121606 Magnaflow P/N 16723 on an otherwise stock LS1, manifolds and Y. I can't remember if I posted the before vid in this thread or not. My camera is not the greatest, but you can certainly tell the difference.

Yes -- it has before and after.

Ask Frank 99ws6. If I remember right, he put that on his car and it sounded almost exactly like stock. He was very unhappy. Not totally positive that was the brand though. I know I didn't care for the sound when I heard it either. Plus the coinage he spent and really didn't gain anything. I'm sure others will comment on it as well, good or bad.

ive had it in the past catback magnaflow with stock everything else and then with headers. I have to admit it was very quite stock everything else just louder at WOT, even with headers, no cats it was still to quite for me and had to put on a exhaust cut out which solved that problem quickly, lol. Good quality catback and i had no issues with it.

It sounds a tad louder than stock almost to the point where some may not even know it isn't stock. It is louder when you get on it. I love mine and it is awesome with the cutout open.

I will not use anything but Magnaflow on my cars ever again.

I run BBK LTs with ORY - no cats and a Borla on mine - love the sound. But to each his own.

I have to Magnaflow quad tips with LT's and cats on my car. Im not 100% happy with the sound. I dont remember who said it on here but once you get around 2500 rpms it opens up with a nice sound.

Magnaflow is the best sounding exhaust. Some people tell me its loud, some say its quiet. I say its in the middle
