    Are LT1 and LS1 cat-backs the same?

    I plan on buying a magnaflow cat-back, but he had it on a LT1. Im pretty sure there the same just thought i would make sure. THANX

    the point where the i-pipe travels down the driveshaft tunnel is the same. for the LS1, the y-pipe connects to the i-pipe in the tunnel. for the LT1, the y-pipe connects to the i-pipe over on the passenger side.

    just cut it back to where your factory y-pipe will meet it at is all.

    If it was a cat-back from a 97 or some 96's, you will have no problems because it will be the same.

    What year F-body is the cat-back off of?

    Also the hangers at the rear tailpipe area are slightly different. Easy enough to adapt though. There is even a kit available to adapt the older style hanger to the newer one,,,something like $25 or so.

    Im not sure, he said it will fit an ls1 perfect so im guessing 97 then.
