LS6 intake on egr car 98-00

Ok I have read I will need a exhaust block off plate and delete EGR but if I go with 01-02 headers, will I still need a block off plate and will this work. Just want to make sure I have all things needed before install. Also If anyone could tell me everything needed for swap it would be appreciated and I think could make a cool sticky.

When I changed my 2000 Z28 over to LS6 I purchased a Manifold Coolant Pipe Kit off EBay. Some will say no need and just grind to fit. I wasn't big on the grinding recommendation to save $46.00 bucks. IMO

You can just buy race headers (no emmisions) just the same as regular headers just theres no place for emmisions. That combined with your LS6 intake you can completley remove your AIR/EGR.
