    Ls6 intake

    i am installing a cai and a ls6 intake soon is it true you have to get a fuel/air tune after the install?

    A tune is not necessary. Have you had your EGR and AIR codes turned off yet?

    dyno tune on a stock car will free up HP though. Like said above no tune necessary.

    why put it on if u are not going to tune it for max hp. just seems to me if u are not going to tune than might as well keep the ls1 intake, i am keeping my stock ls1 intake for as long as possible i dont think it will give that much more power

    Then you could turn around and say why not tune on a stock car? Tuning on a stock car will free up HP so why not do it?

    A tune on a LS6 intake is not "needed" like others have said. You will still see gains on the swap alone.
