ls2 in 01 camaro

I know the engine is a direct boltup, but what about the knock sensor and cam sensor locations and will the f-body computer work with these???

Today on Horsepower TV they're taking a 6.0 LQ4 truck block and puting it in a 98 Camaro. Tomorrow is part 2 I believe.

I think the 402/408 LS2 is the most popular engine swap for the 98-02 F-Bodies.

Stock LS2 isn't worth it.

But yeah, the stock computer will work. There is a harness you will need to use the LS2 block's sensor locations.

thanks guys, just got back to the post, so I'll try to address everyone: the thread was helpful as was hp TV and the comment on wiring harness. As for the comment on 402/408 swap....I am fully aware that this is the most popular swap...that is why posted the question...duh......and I think any time you can drop in a 405hp engine in place of a wore out 315hp engine for 2 grand ....I think its worth it
