    LS1/LS6 intake swap question

I just picked up a 2002 intake for my 00 WS6. The part number is 12561184, From all the searchs I've done, it's a LS6 from an 01,02 F body. However it does not have the flat bottom like other descriptions I've seen. When I swap this intake over, do still need to reroute the water lines under the Intake? Is it a true LS6 intake or am I just wasting my time swapping it out?

Can you post a picture of the bottom of it?

The part number you listed is for an LS6 intake. I would like to see the bottom of it though.

if you look at the front leading edgeand it has a wing type shape it is a ls-1 on the ls-6the front edge is straight across, looking at the bottom if it is flat with no shape that is an ls-6 ,hope this helps

Yeah, I agree with you on the shape, but mine looks like an LS1 intake, but the P/N says it's a LS6. It's off of a 2002 SS Camaro. Here are the pics.

That's a LS6 intake, bottom is flat. You'll need the LS6 front coolant pipe and rear plugs - unless you want to grind down the ridges a little to make room for the LS1 pipe.

That's cool, I was really wondering if I got fooled by the seller. Picked the whole Intake and TB up for $200. I'll grind down the ribs to make room for the waterpipes under it. I also plan on cleaning up the throttle body and polishing it up. Any other throttle body free mods?

This shows the difference, the LS1 is the one on the left: http://www.ls1howto.com/howto/geniii...//IMAGE009.jpg I'd replace the gaskets too.
