Loudmouth Resonator

Just curious if anyone has a LM set up but has taken out the resonator and just gone with straight pipes. If anyone has does the set up get rid of the raspy drone sound from the LM?

I would think that removing them would create more. IMHO the best thing would be to ditch the LM entirely for A borla or megnaflow system.

Exactly. The resonator IS the reason for the drone. Thats why when people do LT's and Loudmouth, the ditch the resonator for the Borla XR-1 muffler

i have straight pipes and i think it sounds way better with less rasp cuz the resonator makes all the popping and rasp...it will sound better without it as long as the rest of your exhaust is stock (manifolds and cats)
