looking for exhaust

I have a 96 Trans am lt1 6 speed and i am needing opinion on what exhaust to get to make it loud, i had a stock y pipe with borla muffler!!

Headers and and dual electric cut outs should do the trick!

will that those headers and electric cut out go with my y pipe? also where can i get and what brand a high flow cat because i dont know anyone that can gut my cat out!!!

I think that if you get headers you have to get a new y-pipe, unless you get shorties and I hear that they suck. Get the Ebay headers for a good deal, then if you have a trusted muffler shop around go there and get a custom y made. I did that and had my cutouts welded in the y-pipe.

you don't know anyone that will 'gut' your cat? Do it yourself. my cat got 'gutted' when i had my 95z28 in a tragic 'accident' when a broomstick handle 'fell' into it and banged around until it freed itself...

Lol you gotta watch out for those randoms broomsticks.
My cats and all emissions garbage fell off one day going down the road....
I guess it was just a bad day
If you decide too get headers i would go off road, or without emissions garbage but keep in mind local laws, Ie state inspections

I Took Mine To The Chp California Highway Patrol And Got A Referee To Look At My Exhaust After Getting A Ticket For Loudness..chp Looked Underneath And Saw My 02 Sims,ory No Cats,cutout,and Muffler All The Way To The Rear Bumper With Turn Down...all They Kept Saying Was It Sounds Good And They Wish They Had Some Slp Longtubes For There Chp Z28.and Signed Off My Ticket.

Depends on how much you wanna spend...headers will make it loud. You could also just go with straight pipes on the stock setup. Also depends on what you are looking to get out of it power-wise as well...
