    2002 Camaro ss

    Looking for advice.

I am new to this web site, and would appreciate your advice.
    I just bought a 2002 black Camaro ss with A4., 3.23, 62750 miles.
It has the stock GM exhalst. I want to upgrade to either loudmouth or loudmouth 11. Is the LM to loud for talking in the car going down the road ?
I am not new to Chevy performance.
    Had a 1969 Camaro ss with 427, 11:1 comp. and true 2 1/2" system
all the way back. Also in 1972 I had a stock 1969 Z-28 with chambered system. They were NOT too loud. But I am concerned about what to do here. This is probably an old question that has been worked over a lot, so I hope you will bear with me. Again thanks for your help.

you can get LM1 or 2 and still talk while on the road. It you drive under light throttle and keep the rpms below 2000 it will be relatively quiet. But it will scream when you get on it. I

f you want a nice quiet exhaust i recommend looking at magnoflow. Its very nice (quiet) to drive with and sounds very muscular at wide open throttle.

if you ever plan on adding on performance to the car, i would keep away from the loudmouth.

On my last (94) Z, the only thing I had done to it was the LM catback, and I thought it was great. Good sound at idle, not overbearing while driving, but screamed at WOT.
I plan on getting it again this spring with my LT's. Most say that it drones and is raspy when combined with longtubes, but mine isn't a daily driver, so I hope its obnoxiously loud.
Check out www.ls1sounds.com for sound clips of different setups.

I want you guys to know that I appreciate everyones advice.
From what you've told me, and what I have found out on this site I believe I will go with the LM 11. I like SLP and their quality, also I wanted a growl all the time. But you know there is something to think about with the elec. cutout, = doesn't cost a lot and thats good in today's world.

    THANKS
