longtubes with cats
Im looking at getting some pacesetter longtubes and y pipe but would still like to run cats, or atleast hollowed out cats. as of know im just looking to see whats out there but for the life of me i cant figure out what is "catable" and what isnt, or is it all cattable, you just have to cut a section out of it?
im not apposed to running true duals but my wallet is not that thick. im looking to spend at the most 600 bucks. any help would be amazing.

most companies offer catted Y pipes or non catted (off road) Y pipes.
or , I know summit racing sells magna flow hi flow cats for$65 each if you wanted to put your own in.
if you want true duals, I'd get prices from a couple of local exhaust shops and get them to custom bend it for you....that will be cheaper and fit better

If you need the appearance of a cat. converter for emissions....hollowing them out will make it fail a sniffer but pass visual.
All depends on what you need to pass.
As mentioned, most companies sell a catted y-pipe that fits their longtubes.

they dont do a sniffer test, just look under to see if its all their. depending on how the cards fall im getting a set of headers and a y pipe used so ill just run that with the existing cat back i have. if i dont get the headers and y pipe im gonna grab some pacesetters hollow my cats out and try to find someone to throw on some duals. id probably get another loudmouth muffler since i already have one. unless someone foresees any major problems with that.
