Long tube headers options with a cat
Any off the shelf options for a cat in the y pipe? How does blocking the EGR affect the engine, I see that BBK headers don't have EGR provisions.

Blocking the EGR does absolutely nothing to the engine. I can't remember if you need to have the EGR turned off in the tune. You can ask Frost form tunedbyfrost.com His mail order tunes are worth every penny. He also turns off the rear O2 sensors that headers eliminate and adjusts some of the fuel trim tables so that you get better performance with the headers.

I think has to be turned off but now that I think about it I'm not sure. It's been years since I did it. I do think I had to make a note of that when asking frost to do a tune for me.

That's why I mention it. It's been 8yrs when I did my headers and I'm far, far from beyond being a bolt on any more.
