Lifetime Air Conditioner Warranties?
Lifetime Air Conditioner Warranties?
Word is that if a GM dealer replaces the Air Conditioner Compressor, the compressor, labor and Freon are then covered by a lifetime warranty. This may be true of "all" safety equipment.
This is supposedly general knowledge for GM Dealer Technicians.
Debunk?

It is my understanding that if the work was done by a GM dealer, or using original GM parts, you now have a lifetime warranty on the compressor and the whole replacement labor job. I was told that it does NOT cover the original compressor, only the replacement. It would not cover other service or repairs [hose leaks, orifice tube, etc.]. If the work was done by a Dealer, maybe you should inquire about the warranty. I am sure everyone on this forum would love to hear the answer. My son, who is a tech told me about this and says it is understood by any GM Dealer. I have not had mine replaced so I cannot vouch firsthand. I am only trying to see if it is true for all of our benefit.
