lid question

so i jsut got a used whisper lid, and on the underside of the lid, there is a kind of gasket that looks like it once went all the way around the inside of the lip of the lid. on mine it's kinda coming off and is completely gone on the side nearest where the air goes into the TB. is this a problem? can i use a part off the stock lid? what should i do?

i would definetly have one on there,dirt kills. go to your local parts house and buy some adhesive weatherstrip, finish tearing off the old seal, and clean the surface off with a good cleaner. lay down the new weatherstrip and cut off the excess. you should be good to go.
