    Kooks 3" Y-pipe with Metallic Catalytic Converters

    hi guys,, i need ur help

    i have a borla exhaust on my camaro with headers but i don't have a Y pipe so the sound not that loud i expect. The problem is i live in CA and their law is very strong i can't put a Y pipe without a Catalytic Converters so i was looking for a Y pipe with Catalytic Converters and I found the Kooks Y pipe.

    it's so Expensive and im worry if i buy it and that doesnt help me..

    any Advice ؟؟ or if i can find used one

    I have the kooks y pipe with mettalic random tech cats on it. Its a decent sound but still fairly loud. I like it.

    Oh and I dont get why peeps like bouncing off the limiter in 1st gear like that. control your throttle at high rpm.

    thnx guys but there's any kind of Y pipe comes with Catalytic Converters and shaper than kooks because it's really Expensive.. what can i do with it ..

    you could just buy any ypipe you like and get some of the $40 "hi-flow" cats off ebay and have an exhaust shop weld it all in for you, install for all of that was about $50 for me, not too bad imo

    The muffler makes the sound really if you are not changing the headers all you are doing is adding a slight dampening to the sound mostly at part throttle. Personally I think Borla sucks I'd be trying to Change the sound as much as possible

    That's the way to do it. The higher flowing cat will have the least amount of dampening to your sound. Go cheap with a smaller ceramic cat they flows less and it will dampen it more.
