Killing the Header Question
I know this is really killing the header question but I just cant seem to find the answer I am looking for. I am still new and nieve to everything and was brought into the game only really knowing about SLP. I have a 2000 TA and i am looking at getting headers in the near future. I want to get them for pure HP gains...I keep seeing different headers by SLP, Kooks, Dynatech...etc. I kept reading that pacesetter was "the best bang for you buck" but never really saw what the hp gains were. What header, y pipe, cats are going to give the best overall hp gains? Do I have to have my TA tuned after the new headers y pipe and catalytic converters get installed?

As far as acutal numbers i couldnt tell ya but, i put pacesetter lt's and ory on mine and they work great. You will be able too feel a difference after the instail. You dont need a tune after the instail but too get the most out of your setup you will want too get one in the future. I would stay away from cats unless local laws gotcha.
If your car is lowered i would stay away from slp. In my opinion headers are headers, some are "better" quality but whatever floats your boat.
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....

agree with sunset oranges headers are headers, BUT do go with the ceramic coated as they will last a long time and help keep the under hood temp down,
with a good tune and air lid you can see about 30hp
