    Angry k&n problem

I bought the K&n "hot air intake" and had it on for a couple of months and had no problems. Now that its 95 degrees out ive had some problems and i think the over priced k&n kit is the culprit. After driving around for a short while i turn the car off, 5 min. later start again, ingage first gear (6m) and it stumbles up to 3000 rpm. runs fine after that through all gears. open the hood check the air filter and it is almost too hot to touch. Any one else had this problem? Whats the best LID setup?

been running K&N for about 5 yrs with no problems.

Wouldn't say that it is the best setup but I got a SLP flowpac setup seems to work ok

i put the stock intake back on this weekend to see if the engine heat and the fipk was the problem. I forgot about my tune so the car fell on its ass and put out a SES light. So i do not know if this was the problem. Everyone i have talked to has diffrent opinions. Thanks for the input. Any way i have a fipk kit for sale if anyone is interested

what are your mods? Simply swapping intakes shouldn't do that.

pacesetter lts and y pipe, flowmaster cat back, fast intake 90/90, and a tune. All this money i have spent on CAI and the culprit was the fuel filter, at least i believe because i just put a slp lid and ram air setup and had the same problems. Next was the fuel filter and its been runnin alot better so far! sorry K&N

i talked with my tune guy which he knows his shit and he said it is the tune, something about intake temps. i am going to see him next week to see if we can fix this annoying problem. It was not the fuel filter because shortly after i was confident that the problem was gone it showed back up. i will up date asap.
