Black- 1999 WS6 Conv.
Just installed LT's ORY Cam Hds, muffler?
I just installed all of my new toys,
LS6 intake, 2.5 PRC heads, 228/228 112 lsa Cam, Pacesetter LT's & ORY, waiting to finalize for the tune.
Now my Flowmaster sounds terrible. On stock it had a nice tone . With the new parts it is obnoxious and raspy.
I have been through the threads but was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I am trying to get the sound of a Cobra ... the hollow high tone.
Is it possible?
Either way some advice on a smoother sounding muffler with my set up ( naturally it needs good flow)
Thanks Always

ya I know how you feel, I welded a flowmaster in when I had my stock exhaust and it sounded good. Then came my hooker headers/ory it got raspy and sounded horrible. Couldn't stand driving it.
Then when I had my QTP headers and ory(didn't like the way the hookers looked) I tried to find an exhaust I liked that wasn't too loud when cruising but was when you step on it, also not raspy. I ended up with a
SLP Power Flo catback and got some corsa clone tips for it. I love the way it sounds. Loud but not annoying and no drone on the highway. I liked it to because I can switch out the LM2 for an LM1 and change the sound but the rear mufflers keep it from being raspy. Lotta people don't like SLP, I'm not a fan of alot of their products but I love my catback.1998 Trans Am 85k miles.

It'll be hard to get that sound with a cam and LT's now. Especially with a 112 LSA. Stick a Borla cat back on there and you'll be good to go.
